Cotton Fabrics
- Gentle hand wash recommended using a mild neutral detergent. Water temperature should not exceed 30°C.
- Always wash in cold water to prevent shrinkage or deformation caused by heat.
- Separate dark and light colors before washing. Dry flat, inside out.
Linen Fabrics
- Suitable for both dry cleaning and hand washing; dry cleaning yields optimal results.
- If hand washing, use a neutral detergent (e.g., wool/silk specific detergent) in cold water. Avoid vigorous rubbing or wringing to prevent fiber damage.
- Wash dark and light colors separately to prevent color transfer. Dry flat in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Wrinkles may appear after drying; ironing will generally restore appearance.
Silk Fabrics
- Professional dry cleaning is recommended.
- If hand washing, use a silk-specific detergent. Gently agitate the water, turn the garment inside out, and submerge. Apply light pressure or gentle rubbing only to soiled areas.
- Do not soak, wring, or expose to direct sunlight. Dry flat in a well-ventilated, shaded location.
Wool/Cashmere Coats
- Not suitable for water washing. Professional dry cleaning recommended (limit to twice yearly).
- When steam ironing, use a high-heat-resistant pressing cloth. Maintain a 10cm distance between the steam nozzle and fabric. Iron temperature should not exceed 110°C; always use a pressing cloth.
- Avoid friction with coarse or hard objects. Store in a ventilated, dry place. Use cedar blocks or mothballs for moth protection.
Down Jackets (Nylon/Polyester Shell)
- Gentle hand wash recommended using a specialized down jacket neutral detergent.
- During drying, gently pat with a hanger to help restore loft.
- Store in a ventilated, dry place. Use cedar blocks or mothballs for moth protection.
Denim
- Before the first wash, soak inside out in cold water with white vinegar or salt (1-2 tablespoons) for 30 minutes to help lock in color and extend wear life.
- Wash inside out separately from regular garments. Avoid frequent washing, as excessive laundering causes fading and fabric stiffening. Minor color loss is normal.
- Dry in a cool, shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
Wool/Cashmere Knitwear
- Professional dry cleaning is advised. Machine-washable wool may be washed on a gentle cycle.
- For hand washing, use cold water (<30°C) and a neutral detergent (wool/silk specific), dissolved first. Wash quickly and gently. Avoid prolonged soaking.
- Remove water by pressing gently; never wring. Avoid direct sunlight. Dry flat in a well-ventilated, shaded area.
- Store in a ventilated, dry place. Use cedar blocks or mothballs for moth protection.
Leather & Fur Apparel
- Minor shedding from fur during wear is normal.
- Keep away from heat sources to prevent hardening of the hide/fur.
- Avoid direct application of cosmetics (e.g., perfume) onto leather/fur.
- Protect from rain and direct sunlight. If exposed to rain, shake off excess water and dry flat in a cool, ventilated area.
- Do not comb fur areas. Never iron.
- Yellowing of white fur is a natural oxidation process; seek professional dry cleaning for treatment.
- Have been professionally cleaned before storage. Store hanging in a cool, ventilated, dry place when not in use. Avoid compression or folding.
General Care for All Garments
- Dry cleaned or washed items should be dried flat in a cool, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct sunlight to prevent fading/discoloration.
- When ironing, select the appropriate temperature setting and use a pressing cloth.
- Store all items in a cool, ventilated environment.
